Petizens Featured Page of the Day: Who doesn't like searching for sea shells by the sea shore? You can find tons of sea shells on Bawheid's Petizens page. He is a three year old black Mini-Lop rabbit from Scotland. Bawheid enjoys playing with his three doggy sisters who protect him from danger. The page is decorated with tons of HTML images including lots of fun characters from Alice in Wonderland and fun pool side images! Bawheid is participating in Petizens summer competition and had done an excellent job making his page look like summer! He is a paying user, so he can add as much HTML as he wants and he can rotate photos and add speech bubbles to his pictures! Come search for some sea shells on Baheid's sensational summer page!

Take a Trip to a Tropical Island on Benny's Page

Petizens Featured Page of the Day: Take a day trip to the beach and visit the tropical island of Benny's page! Benny is a Minature Pinscher / Fox Terrier mix from the United States. Benny recently got married and has many great photos on the beach with his wife, Watsie! They enjoy taking long walks on the beach together and sharing their love on petizens. The page is a sandy brown and decorated with ice cold drinks and many other great stickers. The final touch to the tropical paradise on Benny's page is the classic summer music that makes you want to have a night-time bon fire on the beach with your closes friends.

Valentine competition results

The Valentine competition has just finished. It was a very tight race from day one until the very last day. Princess took the lead from day one, but was pushed out several times by Reyes and Bobby. Yesterday Bert was on the top for a short while as well. 3565 votes were cast and a total of 31,683 points were given to the 122 participants.

The winner was Princess a beautiful Chihuahua dog from Glasgow, Scotland (Great Britain). For this competition the winner received 100,000 Petopian$, 2nd position 50,000 P$, 3rd position 25,000 P$ and each winner in each animal group 10,000 Petopian$.

Valentine Webpage competition has begun

Come and join our valentine webpage competition, we're open for any pet!

To make a valentine inspired page on Petizens.com is very simple; we're the first social networking site where you can actually make a page according to your wishes, you don't need to learn HTML, CSS or other complicated scripts. On Petizens.com just drag and drop photos, videos, blog, guestbook, etc to your page. Then you can resize them, change their backgrounds, fonts, captions, etc.

As you can see on Karma's valentine page (pictured here), you can put the stickers (small transparent animated or static images) anywhere on your page, to really personalize it. Further down on Karma's page there is a video player that plays music as well as lots of other pictures. You can make the page as long as you want and add as much fun stuff you like.

Got our MySpace page up... finally

I knew that MySpace was VERY hard to use, but I had no idea that it would take me a week to be figure out how to make a page that would look like Petizens.com in look and feel. It took me only 10min on Blogger. No wonder that MySpace are losing users.
I kept searching for help on how to deal with the CSS for MySpace, but most people that made nice layouts for MySpace did it before the new 2.0 version of MySpace and they didn't update their CSS codes.
One of the reasons we made www.petizens.com was to let anyone make a nice customized page for their pet, I knew that MySpace had a million pet profiles, but clearly not many of them knew HTML or CSS, so they all looked more or less the same.

FaceBook is not much better, we made a user page there, a group page and a Fan page, but then we cannot invite our friends to these group and fan pages easily...

So, now Petizens got pages on several popular sites where we will update our friends on our progress and invite people to try a whole new experience.
